What is Dry Ice?
Dry ice is the solid form of carbon dioxide (CO2) at -78.5 °C, which is present in our earth’s atmosphere. It is the gas that we exhale during breathing and the gas that plants use for photosynthesis. It ‘Melts’ without leaving any residue. This sublimation process makes it a perfect application to be used as an expendable refrigerant to transport perishables or to cool materials during production.
